Liam is the Joint Head of the School of Professional Accountancy at Independent Colleges. He was previously a senior lecturer with Griffith College specialising in the areas of Financial Accounting and Financial Management for ACCA, CPA, CIMA and ACA. He is an immensely confident and popular lecturer.

Sandra is a Senior Lecturer with Independent Colleges and specialises in Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. She has lectured to ACCA, CPA, IATI, CIMA and ACA students since 2002. Sandra has an exam focused teaching approach and an ability to simplify the more difficult areas of the subject.

Michael is a Senior Lecturer in the area of Management Accounting and Performance Management. He has extensive experience in the area of Management Accounting. He has lectured on both ACCA and CPA courses and worked in both senior Management Accounting and Analyst roles. Michael is an ACCA qualified lecturer and received a number of placings during the course of his own examinations including a remarkable 1st in the world placing on paper 3.3, Performance Management.

Shane is a full-time Senior Lecturer with Independent Colleges in the areas of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Strategy. Prior to joining Independent Colleges, Shane was a member of the Enterprise Risk Services team in Deloitte. Shane has lectured on ACA, ACCA, CPA and IATI courses for the past number of years and he has developed an outstanding reputation due in no small part to his approachability and focus on examinations.

Mel Kilkenny BComm, FCA, AITIMel Headshot

Mel has been lecturing ACCA taxation subjects since 1992. Students find Mel very exam focused, approachable and entertaining. Mel is the author of textbooks and revision kits for P6 and F6 (Kilkenny Tax Publications); these books are used by many colleges throughout the country. He spent a number of years as examiner for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and also for the Irish Taxation Institute.

Gary Fitzgerald Barrister at Law, BAACCA Dublin Lecturers 006

Gary is a graduate of the Honorable Society of the King’s Inns and University College Cork. He was called to the Bar in 2007. He won the Antonia O’Callaghan prize for Constitutional Law in 2005 and Oratory in 2006. His practical experiences of the subject matter on the F4 syllabus together with his excellent presentation skills make him one of the most respected lecturers in the country for this subject.

Graham Crowley BSc

Graham currently works as a Senior Commercial Accountant with the Musgrave Group. He has held a number of Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Financial Analysis roles within Musgrave. Prior to joining Musgrave he worked as an Analyst with Fidelity Investments in Boston, USA. Graham completed his CIMA exams in 2007 and received a number of placing during the course of his own exams including two 1st places, two 2nd places and three 3rd places in Ireland. He has been lecturing in both CPA and ACCA subjects since 2008.

Michelle is a daytime lecturer with Independent Colleges specialising in Business Strategy and Financial Management. Michelle has worked with a diverse range of clients from multi-national firms to the public sector. She has experience in the areas of Strategic Planning and Implementation, Business Process, Re-design, Change Management and IT. She is a member of the ACCA Leinster Network and has presented CPD lectures. She has had the privilege of presenting an intensive ACCA revision course to final year students in three locations in China.

Michael has over 20 years of international lecturing experience, at both professional and academic levels. He joined BPP Ireland in 2003 after returning from a seven year project in South-East Asia. 2013 has seen Michael become a welcome addition to the professional team at Independent Colleges.

David Ahern, FCCA, FAIA

David is one of the best known P2 lecturers in Ireland and is a vastly experienced lecturer at all levels of financial and corporate reporting. Widely known for his focused techniques on some of the more challenging aspects of the P2 syllabus, he has also been an academic lecturer for many years including financial reporting on the Master of Accounting programme at the UCD Smurfit School of Business. He was also a founder director of BPP in Ireland and over the last 20 years, he has been tutor to numerous students who achieved prizewinning results at both national and global levels in corporate reporting.
