FULL TIME RECEPTIONIST

Job Description

An enthusiastic receptionist/ administrator required for a leading, busy third level college.

Duties will include:

  • General supervision of reception.
  • Attending to enquiries; drop in, telephone & email enquiries in a polite, professional manner.
  • Carrying out basic, routine administrative office procedures according to agreed standards.
  • Working closely and assisting existing staff.
  • Reconfiguration of lecture rooms.
  • Generally assist the IT staff/ technicians to provide a comprehensive; professional technical service to clients/ lecturers/ students by way of helping with the installation/ maintenance of software & operating systems to agreed standards.
  • Operation of in-house software and equipment
  • Registering students onto courses and seminar/ and other programmes.
  • Open of building each morning
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Utmost professionalism at all times.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & oral).
  • Accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational & time-management skills.
  • Working on own initiative.
  • General knowledge & understanding of: PCs, Laptops & peripheral devices.
  • Proficient with software database systems.
  • Advanced level MS Office and ability to touch type.
  • Must be capable of working to deadlines and under pressure.

Days, Hours & Start Date

Days per week:        Monday – Friday

Hours per day:          08:30 –  17:30pm
Start Date:                 Immediate
