Overview
The MSc in Accounting with Finance programme is intended to equip participants with a solid grounding in the knowledge and skills of finance and accounting, and contextualises such specialist knowledge and skills into the broader business frameworks in which they are applied. This will enable graduates of the programme to operate effectively in management roles in finance, accounting and related areas. It will also serve as an ideal springboard for progressing to study and qualification with specialist professional accounting institutions, should that be a career aspiration for participants, and relevant professional exemptions are being pursued in this context.
For those applicants with a strong background and achievement in professional accounting examinations, some exemption from taught modules will be available. These exemptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Who is this course for?
The programme is aimed at supporting students in their development of strategic, critical and analytical thinking as well as reinforcing the technical and application skills which are required for the obtaining of professional qualifications.
