Write Here, Right Now: Finalists Announced
The finalists in the Write Here, Right Now competition have been named. The judges interviewed 16 shortlisted contestants and selected their top three to go forward to the final round. The finalists are: Bryan O’Hanlon, Dave Donnelly and Darren Regan.
The three finalists will spend a day in the Metro Herald newsroom, working with editor Chris Cowley and news editor Joanne Ahern. Each will be given a journalistic assignment and will have to produce a full-page feature with the help of a mentor. All three features will be published in Metro Herald. The winner will be announced in late August and will receive an editorial internship at Metro Herald and a scholarship for the Faculty of Journalism at Independent College Dublin.
